Together with our partners at CMLC, we are helping shape a dynamic and welcoming gathering place in the southeast downtown community.Work on Phase II of the Stampede Trail development resumed following Stampede 2025, with a focus on the two blocks between 12 and 14 Ave SE. The project continues to progress and be evaluated in line with the Scotia Place event centre construction.In addition to the Marriott Autograph Collection hotel being constructed on Stampede Park, Truman and Marriott announced two more hotels to be built across Macleod Trail SEa W Calgary, and JW Marriott Calgary. Together, these three hotels will add 725 guest rooms to support growing demand from visitors to the BMO Centre, Stampede Park and the Culture + Entertainment District. An additional preferred hotel site has also been identified on Stampede Park, and development opportunities will continue to be explored.Construction on the new event centre, Scotia Place, advanced steadily as our neighbours at The City of Calgary and CalgaryRendering of The Bull feature at the Flores LaDue Parade entance into Stampede Park.Sports and Entertainment Corporation reached several key project milestones. Work is steadily progressing toward its anticipated opening ahead of the 20272028 NHL season, with site excavation complete and the beginning of the structural steel taking shape.The Calgary Stampede remains committed to collaborating with our partners to enhance vibrancy, accessibility and year-round activation throughout the district.The Buffalo greets guests at Stampede Trail.The Horse stands tall at the Erlton entrance.
