The Calgary Stampede Foundation has a variety of methods by which friends of the Stampede can support its objectives. A planned gift to the Foundation contributes to building young lives. You'll help preserve and protect a vibrant culture and heritage. And you will be investing in a more promising future for Alberta.
How planned giving works
When you give a planned gift to The Calgary Stampede Foundation, it means that your donation will be fulfilled at some time in the future.
Your contribution to The Calgary Stampede Foundation will be endowed in the Youth For Tomorrow Fund. Alternately it may form part of a fund you designate. If anonymity is requested, it will be respected.
Your planned gift can take any of the following forms:
- Cash, securities, or a percentage of your estate after family or other beneficiaries have been provided for.
- Real estate, artifacts and other personal property.
- Life insurance.
- Life income plans, annuities or trusts.
How is my gift recognized?
Your gift will be recognized by The Calgary Stampede Foundation by:
- Valuable tax benefits
- Acknowledgment in The Calgary Stampede Foundation Annual Report
- Acknowledgment in performance programs where applicable

Planned giving opportunities
By your gift, you can assist one of The Calgary Stampede Youth programs or, through the Youth For Tomorrow Fund, have the Board of the Foundation use your gift for worthy projects and purposes. You can name your fund or memorialize or honour another person.
What is the Youth For Tomorrow Fund?
The Youth For Tomorrow Fund is a permanent endowment fund for which the donors grant discretion to the Foundation in making grants from the income for youth activities supported by the Foundation.
Designated Endownent Fund
This is a permanent endowment fund through which donors direct the income to be used to support specified youth activities. Categories within the Designated Endowment Fund include:
- Calgary Stampede Show Band
- 4-H of The Calgary Stampede
- Young Canadians of The Calgary Stampede
- Youth Speech and Debate
- Youth Talent
Income from each fund is annually granted to meet the needs of each category as deemed appropriate by the Foundation. In addition, other designated purposes may be created according to your wishes. The income from such designated endowments would be granted in accordance with your directions. The Foundation would have no discretion in making grants from such designated endowments.

Planned gifts can be made by anyone, at any stage in life. Together with you and your trusted professionals, we will create a gift program that is right for you.
How do I make planned gifts?
There are many different ways to provide a charitable gift. A bequest, a life insurance policy or annuities are just a few examples. Deferred gifts may also be pledged.
Why would I consider making a planned gift?
Making a planned gift helps to secure the future of The Calgary Stampede youth programs, either by gift to the Youth for Tomorrow Endowment Fund or by other designated gifts.
Corporations may choose to recognize valued individuals by creating a "living" legacy with The Calgary Stampede Foundation.
